Data Protection Notice

Concerning www.pw-tools.net

No personal data is collected or stored when using this site. When pages are accessed, the web server stores information for technical evaluation. The page visited and the time are saved. No full IP addresses are saved.

This website does not use any external tracking services. Statistics are created on a separate server after it has been approved. The IP address is anonymized (192.168.0.1 becomes 192.168.xxx.xxx, for example) and therefore cannot be assigned to an Internet connection at a later stage. The collection of this data can now be completely deactivated again: Deactivate tracking

The reservation system (calendar.pw-tools.net)

By using this calendar, you agree that your data (first name, last name, gender, email address, meeting, language and, if applicable, mobile phone number and landline number) will be stored in the system. This data is never shared with third parties.

The reservation system only stores the data that you enter or that is necessary for the application. This applies to the personal data of the contributors and of yourself. This data is never shared with third parties.

During actions such as reserving a trolley, only data that is useful for the application, such as the time of the action, is stored in the database. Statistical data about your activity can be derived from this. However, this data is only used by the coordinator (s) of your calendar and is not passed on to anyone else. When used, the time and address of the page accessed are saved in order to be able to improve the system with this information. Only anonymized IP addresses are stored (192.168.0.1 becomes 192.168.xxx.xxx, for example). This means that no assignment to an Internet connection can be made retrospectively.

There are no third-party services installed that collect more data. No ads are displayed.

Passwords are encrypted in the reservation system using the latest technology and are therefore not readable by anyone.

Use of Laravel Nightwatch (System Monitoring and Error Analysis)

To ensure the stability, security, and performance of our application, we use the monitoring and observability tool Laravel Nightwatch, provided by Laravel LLC.

When using Laravel Nightwatch, technical telemetry and diagnostic data are processed that are necessary for analyzing errors, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the reliable operation of our services.

Categories of Data Processed

In particular, the following data may be processed:

  • technical metadata related to requests and system events
  • error and diagnostic data (e.g., stack traces)
  • anonymized user identifiers
  • IP addresses
  • timestamps and performance metrics

User-related data is transmitted to the monitoring system only in anonymized form, so that individual users cannot be directly identified by us through this data.

Purpose of Processing

The processing is carried out exclusively for the following purposes:

  • ensuring the technical stability of the application
  • diagnosing and resolving technical errors
  • analyzing and improving system performance
  • maintaining IT security

Legal Basis

The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).

Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable, and efficient provision of our online services.

The data is processed within the European Union in a cloud region located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Retention Period

Technical diagnostic data collected through Laravel Nightwatch is stored only for as long as necessary to analyze and resolve technical issues and is then automatically deleted.

Additional Third-Party Services

To provide extended functionality, we use additional third-party services that may process personal data:

1. Twilio (SMS Delivery)

We use the service Twilio, operated by Twilio Inc., to send SMS messages (e.g., for two-factor authentication or notifications).

When using this service, your phone number and the content of the message are transmitted to Twilio. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure authentication). For further information, please refer to Twilio’s privacy policy.

2. Telegram (Bot Integration)

We offer an optional integration with the messenger service Telegram to send you notifications regarding reservations and system events. If you use our Telegram bot, your Telegram user ID, your Telegram username, your language setting, and the content necessary for notifications (e.g., reservation details) are transmitted to Telegram and stored in our system to allow for assignment. The use is voluntary and based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For further information on data processing by Telegram, please refer to Telegram’s privacy policy.

3. Firebase Cloud Messaging (Push Notifications)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to send push notifications to mobile devices.

An anonymized device token is transmitted to Google to deliver the messages. The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) to receive push notifications. For further information, please refer to the Google Firebase privacy policy.

4. IP-Based Location Determination (MaxMind / Location APIs)

To improve security (e.g., to detect unusual login attempts), we roughly determine the geographical location of your IP address. We use the local MaxMind database or, if necessary, external location APIs for this purpose. The IP address is only processed to retrieve the location and is not permanently stored linked to it unless there is a security breach. This is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security).

5. Google / Socialite (Social Login)

We offer you the option to log in to our service with your existing Google account (Single Sign-On). We use the service Google Socialite for this purpose.

If you choose this option, you will be redirected to Google for authentication. Upon successful login, Google transmits certain profile data (such as your email address and Google user ID) to us, which we use to create and manage your account. The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For further information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.
